Light: Full sun to partial sun

Water: This plant loves a moist, humid environment. Keep the soil continually moist, but not soggy or waterlogged, as too much water can cause the roots of the plant to rot. Warm water is best

Soil: It will grow in just about any type of soil,including alkaline or acidic, clay or sandy, or rich, loamy ground

Nitrogen req: While this plant is not a heavy feeder, it can benefit from being fertilized each spring with a balanced (10-10-10), water-soluble fertilizer

Bloom Time: Mid Spring, Late Spring/Early Summer, Blooms repeatedly

Common problems: It can become infested with scale, mites and other insects. Too much water left standing on the leaves of the plant can lead to sooty mold development
